Community-

Recently, I was asked why I want to do a certain thing and the answer was quite simple for me; community. I can genuinely say after having different communities; whose who follow Christ and those who don’t, I’d much rather be surrounded by individuals who seek more of God. We are all members of His Kingdom and within that, there’s a sense of community, filled with aspirations and there’s a shared drive to read more scripture, spend time with Christ and live your life the way you were intended to. The encouragement and a community where your beliefs are shared and most importantly respected is something I aspire to have and hope to grow in.

Rest-

I always describe serenity as the feeling of a wave washing over me. I go through phases where I will non-stop keep myself busy, barely sleeping or enjoying life and there’s other times when I have nothing to do, I seclude myself and don’t talk to anyone. I’ve been trying to find a balance for so long. One day during prayer, I was feeling God urging me to just rest, not to seclude or overwork, but to rest. That doesn’t mean just sleeping, but for me, it meant making time in my day for intentional time with the Lord instead of fitting it in when it was convenient for my schedule. Now, I schedule life around the time I have with the Lord in prayer and in scripture rather than the other way around.

Our Savior-

Jesus Christ is Our Savior, for all of the mistakes and sins we make, his loving sacrifice and embrace is there to forgive and allow us to grow as individuals and as followers of Him. Recently, I’ve been invited into a community devoted to Jesus Christ our Savior to learn more of his teachings and guidance that He blessed us with and that is something I’m very thankful for.
